Special Guest SpeakerTonya SkinnerIn her 26 years of teaching, Tonya has taught just about everything in business education from 4th grade keyboarding to Business Law to Desktop Publishing and even pre-kindergarten summer school computers! Her biggest hope when speaking to groups is that she can get them as excited as she is about what she is blessed to do each day-teach students to be lifelong learners and embrace the opportunity to be an enthusiastic and positive role model for life. She loves sharing resources and helping teachers to reach their full potential.

The President of SOWELA greeted everyone and our conference sponsors were thanked.
Roundtable presentations and discussions on a multitude of topics gave attendees the opportunity to rotate through the sessions with a more personal experience. Lots of topics to choose from!
Tonya Skinner talked about the importance of engagement and getting out students actively participating in the lesson that we are trying to teach. Our engagement activity was a teamwork race to stack objects on a tongue depressor. It was hilarious!
Having fun with the photographer in the back. We all got FREE headshots! Check out the "NEW" Membership page!
LUNCH TIME! We got to be the VERY FIRST people to experience the NEW Culinary Arts & Hospitality Building.
The afternoon speakers were very motivating and informative. We learned a great deal and had fun doing it!
Time for the Business Meeting! Old business - New business = Awards and Newly Elected Board Members!
The day ended with the spinning of the digital prize wheel and TONS of DOOR PRIZES donated by our sponsors!
